During last 6 months, Mart\u00edn<\/span> Sabattini<\/span> from DESIGNO<\/span>–patagonia<\/span> has been working on a design training programme<\/span><\/span> for local carpenters<\/span><\/span>.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
This job was commissioned<\/span><\/span> by the CIEFAP<\/a><\/span> (Centre of Research and Spreading of Forest Resources of Andean Patagonia) and CFI<\/span> (Federal Investment Council). The plan was to develop innovative wood products and that each carpenter finalise<\/span><\/span> constructing a prototype which participated in an exhibition and award event in Esquel<\/span>, Chubut<\/span> (Patagonia \u2013 Argentina).<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Results were really positive<\/span>, each carpentry expressing<\/span><\/span> their own<\/span> identity in each product, and finding ways of getting advantage of local sustainable wood resources<\/span><\/span>. The idea from the beginning<\/span><\/span> was to design with the carpenter an not for him, this become a good policy in order to increase their commitment.<\/div>\n
