In February 2017, we received an invitation from Ramiro Estrada Sainz, director of the Tecnologico de Monterrey (Campus Guadalajara), to give a conference and a one-week workshop to his students of industrial design within the program “Academic Leaders”. Thus Manu Rapoport on behalf of our studio went there to share our expertise and methodologies. It was a super intense week that meant hard work focused on researching endemic materials that could be a design input and generate identity. 21 high-performance students participated and as a result, 8 products or product lines with great potential were developed as prototypes. We are grateful for such experience and hospitality.
